Senergy Book Club Welcomes New Members

The Senergy Book Club meets at the Carver School Road Branch Library on the first Tuesday of each month at 6:30 p.m. The group discusses selected books, shares light refreshments, and inspires one another. The main reading focus of the group is primarily African-American fiction; however they also enjoy reading other genres as well as non-fiction titles. Some of the recent authors include: Kimberla Lawson Roby, Pearl Cleage, Connie Briscoe, Walter Mosley, and Mary Monroe.

Senergy Book Club is a group of lively and enlightened readers from diverse backgrounds with lots of energy, thus they chose to spell Senergy with emphasis on energy. There’s always good company and good conversation. In the past the group has attended movies together, met for brunch and invited local authors such as Trice Hickman and LaMoure to visit the group.

If this sounds like your type of reading enjoyment, then we invite you to become part of a great reading experience at the Carver School Road Branch Library. For more information please call Charlene Edwards at 703-2910.
