Walkertown Branch Library Celebrates Its 20th Anniversary

You are invited to join us on Saturday, May 12th, from 2 to 4 pm at the Walkertown Branch Library to celebrate the 20th Anniversary of the Library and the Walkertown Friends of the Library Club. We'll be joined by local speakers, musicians, and a local artist Dot Duggins who is graciously donating two paintings that will be unveiled on this special occasion. Also a DVD of the library history will be shown.

The Walkertown Branch Library serves the town of Walkertown and surrounding communities of Kernersville, King, Walnut Cove, Belews Creek, and Germanton. This dynamic community with strong family and church ties is experiencing rapid growth, and the library staff strives to meet the needs of this expanding, diverse population.

Since its opening in 1992, the Walkertown Branch Library has received strong community support. In May of 1992 H. Gray Swain, Mayor of Walkertown, designated the month of May as Walkertown Branch Library month, with hopes of many fulfilled hours of learning and enjoyment for readers.

We invite you to take a moment to watch this video and be proud of your library!
