Reserve Lieutenant Jerry Brown Retires

Lieutenant Brown began his law enforcement career in 1971 with the Winston-Salem Police Department. After retiring in 2000, he joined the FCSO Reserve Officer program in 2001. The Forsyth County Sheriff's Office Reserve program is composed of volunteer law enforcement personnel who supplement the on-street deputies in every division of the Sheriff’s Office.

Lieutenant Brown has earned several awards while volunteering his time. He was named “Reseve Officer of the Year” in 2002 and 2010 and received the Silver Presidental Volunteer Service Award three times. Lieutenant Brown has a long history of volunteer service to the community. He joined the Old Richmond Fire Department at 17, serving 12 years as a firefighter.

Lieutenant Brown will be missed and we wish him the best in all future endeavors. Congratulations Lieutenant Brown!
