Nerds & Geeks: Black History Month Edition

Anime is a Japanese term for hand-drawn or computer animation. The word is the abbreviated pronunciation of "animation" in Japanese, where this term references all animation. Outside Japan, anime is used to refer specifically to animation from Japan.

In this month’s club meeting we will be watching several episodes of different anime that feature a black or dark-skinned characters. In between screenings we will be discussing the role diversity and people of color have in the anime genre.

Our Nerds & Geeks club is for teens to share what they are currently obsessing about with other teens. From Fandoms to the latest fashion trend, we discuss it all. We meet once a month in Teen Central.
