New Year, New Beginnings for New U.S. Citizens at Naturalization Ceremony

It's a new year and new beginnings for new U.S. citizens on Saturday, January 27th at the Central Library. The U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services will be officiating a Naturalization Ceremony for fifty new U.S. citizens at 11:00 a.m.

Boy Scouts spirit will be displayed by Troop 920 of Centenary United Methodist Church who will do the honors of presenting the flags and leading the pledge of allegiance.

Mr. William Itterly, Library Board of Trustees Vice Chair and library advocate, will give the welcome remarks.

League of Women Voters will be present to register our new citizens to vote after the ceremony.

Light refreshments will be served.

This is a wonderful civic engagement experience.

Welcome Cards are available! We encourage everyone to write or design their welcome message on cards available at the Central Library’s Information Desks. We will display your welcome cards at the Naturalization Ceremony. Our new citizens can take a card as a remembrance of the warm welcome from our community.
