Friends of the Library Big Book Sale

This is the sale you wait twice a year for. Save volumes on volumes, as well as CDs, records, DVDs and more. Selection is restocked every day. Friday, May 17 from noon-5:30 p.m., Saturday, May 18 from 10 a.m.-4:30 p.m. and Sunday, May 19 from 1-4:30 p.m. at Central Library. On Sunday, everything left will sell for half price or $5 per bag, except for special items and electronic media.

You'll find textbooks, classics, art, photography and a good selection of Spanish and other foreign language items. Of special note this year is a large selection of graphic novels and magazines as well as manga and parent-teacher resources. There will be many first editions and rare books at special prices as well as a large selection for children and teens.

All sales support the new Central Library and its programs. Free parking in the lot at W. Fifth and Spring streets, across from Bibs Downtown restaurant. Free to the public, but dealers and re-sellers must pay a fee.
