Fundamentals of Vegetable Gardening with Johnell Hunter March 7, 10 am at Walkertown

Johnell Hunter is a member of the Walkertown Library Community Garden and has been gardening in the area for forty years. He will share his ideas and best practices of gardening. You will learn how to fight weeds and insects in an environmentally- and human-friendly way, and how to overcome most difficulties on the way to a successful garden. Bring your questions!

Learn what tools and equipment to use and what proper safety dress to wear. Basics of vegetable gardening will be covered, including site selection, crop planning, building healthy soil, proper watering, and fertilizing.
