How to Adopt or Foster a Dog or Cat: ABCs from the Forsyth Humane Society (Virtual)
Wednesday, June 9 at 3 p.m.
Are you thinking of adopting a dog or cat, or perhaps fostering one? The Forsyth Humane Society will explain how to select animals that best fit with your family, as well as how to care for a dog or cat in the first year of its life and beyond, including costs, veterinary services, vaccines, housing, exercise, socialization, and more. Get Involved with the Forsyth Humane Society (Virtual)
Monday, June 14 from 5-5:30 p.m.
Learn about the work that the Forsyth Humane Society does and how you can volunteer to help in this live virtual program for teens. Recommended for ages 12 and up.

Caring for Pets (Virtual)
Thursday, July 1 from 3- 3:30 p.m.
Learn what you need to know before getting a pet and how to care for one in this live virtual presentation by the Forsyth Humane Society. Recommended for ages 5-11.

Donation Collection for the Forsyth Humane Society
Lewisville Branch Library and Reynolda Manor Branch Library
May 3 to July 31, 2021

The Lewisville Branch Library and the Reynolda Manor Branch Library are collecting donated items for the Forsyth Humane Society. Please drop these items off in the boxes located in the foyers of the libraries. Don't forget to sign the cards for the hardworking staff and volunteers at the Forsyth Humane Society.

They are in need of:

  • Iams puppy food
  • Leashes and collars
  • Enrichment toys and kongs
  • Double door crate with divider – 42-inches
  • Fancy feast canned kitten food
  • Kitten formula
  • Miracle nipple mini for kitten bottle feeding
  • Iams kitten food
  • Friskies wet cat food
  • Clumping kitty litter
  • Non-clumping cat litter
  • Paper towels
  • Clorox disinfecting wipes
  • Hand sanitizer
  • Liquid hand soap
  • 13 gallon drawstring trash bags
  • 55 gallon trash bags
  • Laundry detergent and bleach

They will also take items not on their wish list. If they cannot use them, they either give them to people who need them at food assistance or to other rescue groups. For more information about the Forsyth Humane Society or for other ways to give, go here.
