New Puzzles at Walkertown

The numerous chunky puzzles in the children’s area have been loved by younger children and toddlers, but the sun and time have taken their toll. Walkertown Branch Library and Friends of the Walkertown Library were thrilled when an anonymous Friends member made a generous donation to update the puzzle collection. Youth Services Librarian April Mittelstaedt was able to purchase 15 new Melissa and Doug wooden puzzles that were immediately enjoyed after they were placed in the children’s area.

The mission of Friends of the Walkertown Library is to help develop and improve Walkertown Branch Library resources and services. Much of this is done through financial support. From providing librarians with additional funding to purchase library materials to buying a colorful step stool that helps children at the circulation desk, Friends of the Walkertown Library loves putting donations to good use.

Join Friends of the Walkertown Library by filling out a membership brochure at the library or by joining online through the Friends website. Friends of the Walkertown Library is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization.
