Pumpkin Decorating Competition for Kids

It's October and you know what that means: pumpkins!
Miss April loves "pumpkin time" the best and so Walkertown Branch Library is hosting a pumpkin decorating contest in the month of Pumpkins October.

How to Enter

You can bring decorated or carved pumpkins to Walkertown Branch Library where they will be displayed in the kids area of the library through the month of October. Voting will begin October 26, so have your pumpkin to us before then!

We will also need your name, age, a responsible adult's phone number and e-mail, and a description of your pumpkin (as well as its name) when you drop it off.

We will also take a photo of you with your pumpkin! If you want your photo to be on our website, we will need a responsible adult to sign a form saying we can use the photo.

Important Rules

  • This contest is open to littles, tots, kids, and teens up to age 17. Adults are welcome to bring pumpkins for display, but they will have their own contest.
  • Pumpkins must be delivered to Walkertown Branch Library before October 26 to be submitted for voting.
  • Pumpkins can be painted, carved, or creatively decorated. They must be able to stand up on their own.
  • Voting will be available Monday, October 26 - Friday, October 30 in-person at Walkertown Branch Library or in an online poll that will be available on this page.
