Not Just Books: Milestone Kits (fun for parents with babies through age 5)

Learn together with two books for you and three books for your child!

The library may be known as a place for free, fun programs and interesting books, but did you know you can find more than just books at the library? It's true! You can find a quick summary of our fun, not-book items by visiting this page.

Walkertown Branch Library's Milestone Kits are great resources for parents of babies through kindergarteners. Each kit includes two books for adults to learn about activites or what to expect and three books to read together.

Age leves are:
- Babies (0 - 18 months)
- Toddlers (18 months - 3 years)
- Pre-K (4 - 5 years)
- Kindergartners
Two books for adults
Three books for kids

Borrowing Information

How can they be borrowed?

They can be found in the windowsill to the left of the children's area at Walkertown Branch Library and patrons of any age can check them out with a library card in good standing.

How long can they be borrowed?

Milestone Kits can be checked out for three weeks and can be renewed four times.
They can be placed on hold and you can click here to see which kits are available at Walkertown Branch Library or here for kits available across Forsyth County Public Libraries.

How can they be returned?

They can be returned to indoor book returns at any Forsyth County Public Library (or any NC Cardinal location). They do not fit in the outdoor book slots so we ask that you return the kit inside to minimize damage.
