How to Adopt or Foster a Dog or Cat

ABCs from the Forsyth Humane Society
Are you thinking of bringing a furry friend into your home? If so, then this presentation is for you! The Forsyth Humane Society will explain the process of adopting a dog or cat and the ABCs of caring for one. This will include how to select animals that fit best with your family, how to care for a pet in the first year of its life and beyond, the costs associated with owning a pet, veterinary services, vaccines, housing, exercise, socialization, and more. Our presenter, Rex Welton, brings over 21 years of experience with the Forsyth Humane Society to this presentation.

Fostering a dog or cat will also be a component of this program. Welton will cover the needs and reasons for foster care of particular animals, and how this can be a great way for those preferring to 'test the waters' to do so before jumping straight into adoption.

This live virtual Zoom program is for adults and their families.
