Herbs: So How Do You Grow?

Herbs have a variety of benefits, from the health and taste of culinary herbs to the fragrance and beauty of ornamentals. This program will teach about the needs and characteristics of herbs so you can successfully grow them at home. You will also learn that most common herbs are easy to grow in a variety of locations and require little maintenance, so this workshop is accessible to even the most inexperienced gardener.

Our presenter will be Cameron Waters, Community Gardening Program Coordinator at the N.C. Cooperative Extension. Waters will be assisted by Bob LePere, Extension master gardener volunteer and mentor for Community Gardens.

Following the demonstration, participants will have the opportunity to paint a clay pot to keep. Paints and pots and other materials will be supplied for the first 22 registrants.

Tuesday, Aug. 31 at 9:30 a.m.
