Captain Robert J. Bethea Retires

Captain Robert J. Bethea began his Law Enforcement career in 1994. Captain Bethea earned several promotions throughout his career with his last promotion to the rank of Captain in 2021.

During Captain Bethea’s 28 years of service, he earned an extensive number of certifications and training beginning in 1994. He also received several letters of commendations, the Honorary Rank of Private First Class/Senior Floor Officer, and the FCSO 25 years Service Commendation Bar.

Captain Bethea served in the U.S. Army National Guard as, E-5 Sergeant from 1988-1993 and U.S. Army as, E-4 Corporal from 1985-1988. Throughout the course of his career, Captain Bethea served in various capacities within the Law Enforcement Detention Center, Judicial Services Division, and Field Services Division. At the time of his retirement, he was the Captain of the School Resource Division.

The Forsyth County Sheriff’s Office wishes Captain Robert Bethea all the best in his future endeavors.
