Annual Library Bookmark Contest Runs Through Oct. 2

The Forsyth County Public Library Bookmark Contest is open to students from preschool through grade 12. The Library receives thousands of entries every year, and we're looking forward to this year's designs. The bookmark subject matter can be:
  • An original slogan and drawing about books and reading
  • A favorite book or subject
  • Why you love the library
  • An image from your imagination

Artists may enter as many designs as they would like. Complete rules and entry forms are available at any Forsyth County Public Library branch, WS/FCS public school media centers, area private schools, daycare centers and preschools. If you want to download an entry form be sure to print the form single-sided. There are print-quality issues with double-sided entry forms.

Several winners will be selected from each age group or grade. Winning bookmarks will be printed and distributed at all Forsyth County Public Library branches. Winners will be invited to an awards ceremony along with their parents, media specialists, and teachers on Wednesday, Nov. 8 (preschool-grade 5), and Thursday, Nov. 9 (grades 6-12).

Good luck, and happy drawing!
