Lounging With The Library: Confronting Domestic Violence video now available

On October 27, we resumed our Lounging with the Library series, which brings local professionals and experts to discuss various social issues that impact our community.

Our panel included Breasia S. Wynn, victim assistance coordinator for the Winston-Salem Police Department; DeWanna Hamlin, director of Bridges to Hope Family Justice Center; Judge Valene McMasters of the North Carolina 21st Judicial District; Daniel Joyce, managing attorney for Legal Aid of North Carolina's Winston-Salem office; and Melissa Nagaishi of Family Services Forsyth.

To read more, we highly recommend No Visible Bruises: What We Don't Know about Domestic Violence Can Kill Us by Rachel Snyder and Nobody's Victim: Fighting Harassment Online and Off by Carrie Goldberg.
