Join us on Thursday, October 30, 2025, from 9am to 12pm at Goodwill Industries on University Parkway for an insight on what it is like to live in poverty. We are partnering with Crisis Control Ministries to host a Poverty Simulation.
From 9am to 11am, Crisis Control Ministries will host the Poverty Simulation which provides a guided experience that exposes participants to the realities of poverty, including the challenges of navigating the complex world of government services and other essential service providers. Participants assume the roles of different families facing poverty.
From 11am to 12pm, we will host a Resource Café with a panel discussion on poverty. The panel will include various agency representatives who are knowledgeable about resources related to poverty in the Forsyth County community.
The Poverty Simulation will be free to participants. Registration is required! Here is the link to register at Crisis Control Ministries website. Please register before October 24, 2025.
Check in will begin at 8:30am. Coffee and refreshments will be provided.
