On November 11th, Deputy Tubbs was dispatched to investigate a reported child neglect call. After leaving the call, he informed me that while the situation was sad, there was no neglect going on. Deputy Tubbs asked if he would be allowed to buy some groceries for the family and was granted permission.

As time passed, David Platoon began a discussion on what we might be able to do as a group. It was decided to check with the family that Deputy Tubbs had dealings with and see if the mother would be agreeable to us buying things for her little girl and family as a whole.

The mother was very excited when she heard this news. She had recently lost her job and her teenage son could only find part time work. The mother said that it was going to be impossible for her daughter to have anything for Christmas as the facts of life had dealt her a heavy blow.

Deputy Tubbs went above and beyond his duties in helping out a family in need. He also inspired his Platoon to show the generosity and kindness of the human spirit. Congratulations Deputy Tubbs!
