Pfc. Shelton has been assigned as the Female Intake Officer for almost four years at the LEDC and has been employed with the FCSO since 2005. She is extremely thorough in regards to her duties as a Female Intake Officer and always presents herself in a professional manner and remains calm in stressful situations. Pfc. Shelton does an outstanding job conducting thorough and systematic searches of inmates and their personal property. Pfc. Shelton was processing a female in Intake when she noticed a white powder residue on the inmate. Pfc. Shelton located a small baggy of white powder in the floor. The substance was confiscated and tested positive for cocaine.

Pfc. Shelton's discovery prevented an illegal substance from being smuggled into the LEDC. Her diligence prevented contraband from reaching any other incarcerated inmates. Pfc. Shelton was observant, preventing a breakdown in the safety and security ofthe facility.
