June Detention Staff Members of the Month

Sergeant Richardson consistently demonstrates dedication to both his role and his team. This month, he went above and beyond his regular duties by providing exceptional support to an officer under his supervision during a critical incident. His proactive approach, leadership, and willingness to assist others reflect the highest standards of our department and deserve this recognition.

On the night of May 29, 2025, Officer Cundiff was assigned to 6B Housing Unit. As part of his duties, he inspected the recreation yard prior to sending inmates to recreation. He searched each inmate and discovered a brown rolling paper in the jumpsuit pocket of one of the inmates. The brown paper substance tested positive for drugs. Due to Officer Cundiff’s diligence in conducting his duties, he made a discovery that presented a substantial safety risk to both inmates and staff. His quick notification to supervision on this matter ensured swift results to mitigate any potential risk from occurring.
