Loca…what? A locavore is a person concerned about where their food comes from and tries to only eat locally grown or produced food. The purpose of this challenge is to raise awareness about where our food comes from.

Program Update: Tanglewood Arboretum Adult Education

The Adult Education Lecture at the Arboretum at Tanglewood Park scheduled for August 16 has been changed. The lecture will now be “Horticultural Therapy for Special Populations” presented by registered Horticultural Therapist and Community Garden Mentor Lea Nading.

Urban Landscaping School accepting Applications

The Urban Agriculture program team at NC Forsyth County Cooperative Extension is accepting applications for the 10 week Urban Landscaping School, which will begin August 2nd through October 4, 2017. Classes will be held on Wednesday mornings from 9 a.m. until 12 p.m. at the NC Forsyth County Cooperative Extension building.
