Join us for some of our craft programs at various branches to start crafting. February Reading Challenge

It’s February and romance is in the air - and on the pages. Yes, this month’s reading challenge will be to read a book with romance in it. Now, romance may not be your cup of tea and you may be tempted to skip this month’s challenge, but please notice I did not say the challenge is to read a romance book. The challenge is to read a book that contains romance. It can be any genre, even nonfiction. One of my favorite biographies, “John Adams” by David McCullough, has some romance in it.

The Greater Vision Dance Company performs traditional African dances as well as a boot dance. Company founder and artistic director, Wayne Jones, will discuss the origins of African-American traditional step dance. Open to all ages.


African American Author Fair

The second annual African American Author Fair during Black History month will be on Saturday, Feb. 22 at 2:30 p.m. in the Central Library. Local triad authors will discuss their work with a book signing to follow.
