Adult Coloring Club @ Rural Hall

Adult coloring clubs and parties have become popular across the country and the fun is on at Rural Hall! We will meet in the reading room area of the library every Thursday at 10 am. All materials will be provided but feel free to bring your own colored pencils or your new coloring books. Can't make it during the day? There will be coloring pages available at the service desk along with pencils and pens that you can sign out for use in the library.

Learn about the options available for anyone with a Gmail account. This workshop will cover Google Docs & Sheets, Photos, Calendar and more. Please come with your email address and password. Laptops will be provided but you are welcome to bring your own device. Space is limited, so register today by calling the Rural Hall Branch Library at 336-703-2970.


How Did That Get on the Shelf?

With so many books published each year, how does the Library choose which titles to purchase and add to the collection? Well, that’s the job of our Collection Development Manager who coordinate material purchasing for the library. A fancy way of saying she reads through book review publications, publisher emails, catalogs, etc. and chooses what she thinks you, our customers, will want to read in the next week, month, and year. However, there more to it than simply reading reviews.


Rural Hall Library Teen Lock-In on Friday, August 12th from 6-9pm

Central Library Construction Update
