Extension on RMV Registrations due to Covid-19

A new law (SL 2020-3 signed May 4, 2020) gives NCDMV the ability to extend the validity of vehicle registrations five months for any credential that expires March 1, 2020, through August 1, 2020. Further, it gives NCDMV the authority to waive penalties and interest for this time period. Please see the attached information regarding this change.
