Central Library Reorganization

The Central Library will be undergoing a reorganization of shelves, books, computers, furniture and departments from February - June 2009. During this process, all adult nonfiction will be consolidated on the second floor in our reorganized Reference Department. The first floor Humanities Department will become the Popular Materials Department featuring fiction, bestsellers, AV materials and magazines. Also, a 40-seat public computer lab will be created on the first floor. The North Carolina Room will be relocated to the ground floor in what is currently the Periodicals & Documents Department.

Please bear with us as we rearrange things. We hope you will like the results as our primary goal is to better serve you. If you have questions, please contact Elizabeth Skinner, Public Services Manager, by email or call 703-3018.
