Teen Pizza Taste-off Contest

Everybody loves pizza, none more than your average teenager, so it made for an interesting afternoon in Teen Central when teens held a pizza taste-off competition to find the best pizza in town. Four local pizzerias, Domino’s, Papa John’s, Pizza Hut and the Mellow Mushroom all competed in four categories vying for the title of “Best Pizza in Town.” The categories were: crust, cheese, sauce and overall quality.

When the judging was complete, one contestant's dough clearly rose higher than all others. The winner of the 2009 Pizza Taste-off competition is the Mellow Mushroom and their Mighty Meaty pie which came in first in the categories of quality of cheese, (2.7 out of 3) sauce (2.5 out of 3) and overall quality (2.7 out of 3). Papa Johns took first place in the crust category. Congratulations to Mellow Mushroom for their win.
