Have you used the library to save money during tough economic times?

During difficult economic times we’re all more mindful of our personal and family budgets and become quite creative in stretching our dollars. Clipping coupons, purchasing generic brands, and buying used instead of new merchandise are but a few of the more popular ways to avoid having “too much month at the end of the money” as popular financial advisor Dave Ramsey often says.

When it comes to saving money, have you ever considered the library as a source of tips and information on stretching budgets? The fact is libraries are filled with numerous publications that can directly help you save money during challenging economic times.

Do you have a story about using the resources and services at the library to save money, search for a job or manage your small business? If so, your story could be selected to appear in Woman’s Day magazine.

Between now and May 18th, the Forsyth County Public Library is inviting women 18 and over to tell their story in 700 words or less and send it to dwiggidr@forsythlibrary.org and also to womansday@ala.org. Forsyth County Public Library will post your story on our website to share with others in the community and Woman’s Day will select up to four stories that will be highlighted in the March 2010 issue of Woman’s Day.
