Attention: Southside Customers

The City of Winston-Salem is doing repair and maintenance work on Buchanan Street just past the Southside Branch Library. (From the Silas Creek Parkway intersection the construction site is not until you pass the library.)

Although detour signs are posted, motorists can still access the library without taking the detour. Buchanan street is not blocked until after you pass the library (see map). From Silas Creek Parkway turn right onto Buchanan Street. Instead of taking the recommended detour continue ahead on Buchanan until you reach the library. Road work is expected to be complete by September. Please note that access to the library from Peter’s Creek Parkway via Brewer Road will be unavailable until the completion of the project in September. For more information, please call 703-2980.
