Grant seeking basics workshop

The Forsyth County Public Library will host a free workshop on grant seeking basics for artists and authors. The grant seeking basics session will be led by Kief Schladweiler, coordinator of Cooperating Collections with the Foundation Center. The course will provide an overview of the funding research process for individuals seeking grants from foundations, corporations, and grant making public charities.

Mr. Schladweiler will offer tips on how to best identify funding sources, highlighting the electronic and print resources available for your free use at the Central Library of the Forsyth County Public Library, a Cooperating Collection of the Foundation Center.

The workshop will include a demonstration of the Foundation Grants to Individuals Online, the Foundation Center's searchable database providing information on more than 6,500 grant makers that provide funding directly to individuals. The presentation will also include an overview of the free resources on the Foundation Center's web site. For more information call 703-3021.
