Library to Host African American Business Forum

The Forsyth County Public Library will host an African American Business Forum titled, “The History of Black Economic Empowerment.” Originally scheduled for February, wintry weather forced postponement of this program which was scheduled as part of our Black History month festivities.

Join us as we take a special look at the history, contributions and impact of selected African American businesses in Forsyth County over the years. Panel members scheduled to speak at the Forum include Tina Wilkins of the Winston-Salem Transit Authority (originally known of the Safe Bus Company), Radon Spencer of the Winston-Salem Black Chamber of Commerce, Garland Burton, Director of Business Diversity Programs at Wake Forest University and Eunice Dudley, of Dudley Products.

As an added feature, we will screen the film “African American Business in Winston-Salem” at 2:00 pm. For more information call 703-2950. The public is invited to attend. Friday, May 7th, Central Library Auditorium @ noon
