Triad Park - Public Meeting at Kernersville Town Hall

Winston-Salem, NC - Triad Park is a unique partnership between Forsyth County and Guilford County Parks and Recreation Department. A total of 426 acres have been bought by the counties as a regional centerpiece park which has nature based park facilities nestled in the woods and meadows. The park will be an ongoing project for many years, developing in phases with facilities and opportunities to meet the needs of all levels of recreation. Both Boards of Commissioners for each county encourage citizens to provide input on the development process of the park.

The counties are applying for a joint grant through the NC Parks and Recreation Trust Fund (PARTF). If approved for this grant, the funds will provide up to 50% of new development for Triad Park. It is a highly competitive grant and the public support is extremely important. Feedback from the public is wanted for the next planning phase as it relates to this joint grant application.

A public information session on the grant and how it will benefit Triad Park will take place on Thursday, December 6th at Kernersville Town Hall at 6:00pm. Anybody who is interested in helping plan the next phase is more than welcome to attend. For more information on Triad Park please click here.
