African-American music covers a diverse range of music and musical genres largely developed by African Americans, and includes Negro spirituals, blues, ragtime, jazz, boogie woogie, rhythm and blues, doo-wop, rock &am; roll, soul, funk, disco, hip hop, house, and more. Learn the history of Black Music and Hip Hop with Mr. Yusef Suggs on Friday, February 26th at 4pm at the Malloy Jordan East Winston Heritage Center. This program is designed for teen audiences.
