This three-hour proposal writing workshop will provide an overview on how to write a standard project proposal for a foundation. It will include:
- How to decide if a funder is a good possibility
- Basic terms for grant writing and sections of a proposal
- An introduction to the Foundation Directory Online database, a fundamental tool for finding funding prospects.

Lynn was a grant writer for the Center for Social Work Research and Practice, UNCW Department of Social Work. She works for herself primarily writing proposals for health, human services and criminal justice organizations as well as teaching grant writing at Cape Fear Community College Small Business Center.
Kathleen is the Collection Coordinator for the Nonprofit Resource Center at Forsyth County Public Library and the local Funding Information Network Partner for the Foundation Center in New York City.
