4-H Volunteer Interest Meeting

Have you ever wondered what it takes to become a 4-H Club leader? Would you like to be involved in a club and share the club responsibilities? Please join the 4-H staff and club leaders to learn more about becoming a club leader and/or co- club leader.

N.C. Cooperative Extension’s Forsyth County 4-H Staff will hold a Volunteer Interest Meeting on Tuesday, September 19th, 2017 from 6:00 pm-7:00 pm at the Extension Office located at 1450 Fairchild Rd. Winston-Salem, NC 27105. Please register here. Please feel free to bring your own dinner to this informational session.

At this meeting, 4-H staff will talk about the steps to becoming a 4-H club leader and creating a 4-H club. We will talk about the benefits and challenges of leading a club and how to engage other parents and youth in the process. It is an opportunity to learn more about the staff, determine your club interest, and provide guidelines for getting your youth club started. We also hope to connect parents and volunteers who share interests to facilitate the club-formation process.

Childcare will not be available at this meeting. Club leaders must be 21 years old, so all meeting attendees must be 21 years old or older. Each attendee should register individually. If you represent a group of attendees or are planning to attend as a couple, please make sure that each attendee registers. We need to make sure that we have enough seating and materials for everyone.

We look forward to seeing you on September 19th at 6:00 pm.
