The North Carolina Black Repertory Company and Project1VOICE present a stage reading of Flyin' West, directed by Asabi. Written by Pearl Cleage, Flyin' West is the story of a small group of African-American women whose lives are changed forever with the opening of the West. Together, they face the harsh realities of racism, sexism, and violence in the West as they maintain their pride and attempt to achieve freedom. The stage reading performance will be held on Monday, June 18th, at 6:00 p.m. in Central Library's auditorium.
