Walk for Wishes

Posted on 10/31/2013 by Rebecca Woodcock

Walk for Wishes

Join Make-A-Wish for the 4th annual Walk for Wishes at Tanglewood Park, a walk through the Festival of Lights at 4:30 pm on Saturday, November 16, 2013.

The Walk for Wishes is a family-friendly, community walk to celebrate hope, strength, and joy while raising funds to grant the wishes of local children with life-threatening medical conditions. Powered by the fundraising efforts of teams, families, friends, and coworkers, participants join forces with Make-A-Wish to grant wishes to some of the Triad’s bravest kids, our “wish-kids”.

Join us for fun, food, games, bouncy-houses, food trucks, and of course, Santa and Mrs. Claus, as we get ready to walk through the Festival of Lights. Beginning at 6:00 pm, we will congratulate our highest fundraisers, corporate sponsors, and of course, honor all of our wish-kids, those who can be there with us and those that cannot, before we head out on the 5K walk-route, visiting almost the entire lights display.
