What is Healthy Beginnings?

Healthy Beginnings is a free case management program focusing on minority women of childbearing age and their families (including partner) living in Forsyth County. Healthy Beginnings provides a support system throughout pregnancy and during the first two years of their child’s life. Families will receive one-on-one care management to help make the pregnancy and the beginning years with their child a healthy, enjoyable experience. Additionally, this program is unique in that each participant will have a monthly contact with educational parenting groups called "Meet-ups" and at least six home visits per year. The program focuses on the following areas for the family’s reproductive life span:

  • Folic Acid Consumption
  • Reproductive Health
