Yes. Out-of-County birth certificates are issued in the Register of Deeds office to someone who was born in NC, birth year 1971-forward, and not adopted.They are issued during the hours of 8am-4pm daily. The cost is $24 cash only.
The hours to apply are 8am - 4:30pm. We do not issue after 4:30.
No. If you have not made arrangements for someone to marry you, the magistrate performs civil ceremonies by appointment. Call 336-779-6319. You may also married at the Forsyth County Detention Center Monday-Friday, weekends, and holidays, with no appointment needed.
No. NC Law states only the following people are entitled to a certified copy: yourself, spouse, child, sibling, parent, step-parent, grandparent, authorized agent, legal representative (proof required).
The certified copies are $10 each. Non-certified copies are .50 each.
No. We accept cash, business check, bank check and money order.

The deed is given to you when you closed on the property. It is not mailed to you after the cancellation or satisfaction of the loan. A free copy of the deed is available at forsythdeeds.com.
