The multi-use asphalt trail is the perfect place to go for a jog, ride your bike,
or take a peaceful stroll through the woods. The asphalt trail is 10 feet wide and
is accessible via parking lots on Northtrail Road or at Shelter 2.
Asphalt Trail Rules and Etiquette
Rules and Regulations
- Trail hours are 7 am until dusk; no after-hours use of the trail is permitted
- Trail is for non-motorized traffic only
- Bicyclists meeting horses at crossings should yield the trail
- Horses approaching trail crossings should allow any visible bicyclists or pedestrians
to pass. Bicyclists should maintain a safe speed; no racing of bicycles on path.
- Bicyclists should warn pedestrians as they approach and always pass on the left
- Alcoholic beverages and drugs are strictly prohibited
- Dogs must be leashed at all times
- Place pet waste in the receptacles provided
- Place all other litter in containers provided
- Slow down, yield, and stop at an intersections or road crossings
- Walk or ride in single file as the situation dictates
- Enter and exit the trail at designated locations
- Do not block trail access points or park on the trail
- No horses allowed on trail except at designated horse crossings
- Use designated trails only; using or constructing trails or additions to existing
trails in undesignated areas is strictly prohibited
