Synopsis and Discussion

An upper-level ridge will remain anchored over the Eastern US while surface high pressure drifts westward across Florida and along the Gulf Coast. Expect high temperatures in the mid to upper 90s through Sunday with only low end rain chances to offer some relief. Additionally, following yesterday’s marginally drier air, dew points are on the rise today and increased humidity levels are expected to remain in place through the weekend. This will help to limit ozone production to the upper Code Green range. Moderate particle pollution levels are being observed once again today and with high pressure remaining in control and no change of air mass expected, lower Code Yellow readings are expected to continue through Sunday. – Greg Perrotte / perrotgt@forsyth.cc
