Who is Eligible

  • TB cases and suspects as part of an evaluation of persons with symptoms suggestive of TB disease (no cost) Must make appointment 336-703-3312 or 336-703-3311
  • Contacts to a person with pulmonary or laryngeal TB (no cost) Must make appointment 336-703-3312 or 336-703-3311<
  • HIV positive persons or persons with AIDS (no cost)
  • Persons arrived from high TB incidence countries within the past year (fee $15)
  • Adult day care staff providing care for HIV positive persons (fee $15)
  • Injection drug or crack cocaine users (fee $15)
  • Homeless persons (fee $15)
  • Division of Prison staff w/ direct inmate contact (fee $15)
  • Staff in homeless shelters and jails (fee $15)
  • Refugees (fee $15)
  • Migrant and seasonal farm workers (fee $15)
  • Foreign born persons arriving within the past 5 years from high prevalence countries (fee $15)
  • Long term care employees/residents (fee $15)


  • The charge to high risk individuals for a TB skin test (PPD) is $15 (check or cash, no credit or debit cards), payable at the time of the test.

Friday 8:00 am-1:00 pm
Persons who receive TB skin tests must return 2 - 3 days after the test to have it read and get the results.
